Spot Market Update: Mustard seed Extends Losses

Weakness continued in mustard seed as the production outlook is firm. The latest data compiled by Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA) ,the rapeseed and mustard production MY2018/19 is revised to 7.2 MMT produced from 6.9 million hectares. This is based on a preliminary field assessment and assumes a near normal yield. The spot prices of mustard seed are quoting flat around Rs 3800 per quintal in Jaipur today.
