Edelweiss Mutual Fund has launched a new fund named as Edelweiss Small Cap Fund, An open ended debt scheme investing in small cap fund. The New Fund Offer (NFO) price for the scheme is Rs 10 per unit. The new issue will be open for subscription from 18 January 2019 and closes on 01 February 2019. The investment objective of the scheme is to generate long term capital appreciation from a portfolio that predominantly invests in equity and equity related securities of small cap companies. The scheme offers growth option and dividend option with payout & reinvestment facility. The scheme would allocate 65%-100% of assets in equity and equity related securities of small cap companies with medium to high and 0%-35% debt and money market instrument with low risk profile. The minimum application amount is Rs 5000 and in multiples of Re. 1 thereafter. The minimum additional purchase amount is Rs 500 and in multiples of Re. 1 thereafter The fund seeks to collect a minimum subscription (minimum target) amount of Rs 10 crore under the scheme during the NFO period.
